Locations > Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit
The church is neo-classical in style and has a seating capacity of 1000 people. It has a magnificent Pentecost altar mosaic which was designed by the Italian artist Romeo Battistella. Remarkably, it was only built in 1960 but looks very much older on the outside. Inside, however, it reveals its real beauty and is quite awesome. Modern yet classical at the same time, it’s size & use of space is impressive and the raised choral area unusual and modern. So different is the exterior with its turrets and geometric details it could actually be cheated for a Mosque should the need arise!
