Deasy’s Bar, Ring

Not to be confused with Ring in Waterford, this is one of the prettiest and most unspoilt little coastal villages in the whole of West Cork. Just 3 miles from the town of Clonakilty, Ring is lost in time. Ruined old Piers and Grain Warehouses sit in a beautiful sheltered bay looking out to the massive sand banks and beaches of Inchydoney Island and the view out to the ocean from Deasy’s Bar is one of the best in Ireland.
Deasy’s is one of the most highly rated seafood Restaurants in the area by night, but by day is still a traditional Bar for locals & tourists alike.Family run, it is very film friendly and has been used for Dramas, Travel shows and just for its sheer beauty.Fresh fish & seafood are delivered daily from the nearby Pier and for somewhere with such a reputation it remains very laid back and understated.
This is the ‘real’ Ireland where things are easygoing and no-one is in a rush. The Pier at night is a gem, with its ‘last, lone, leaning lamp’ shining dimly over the small harbour & the welcoming glow of Deasy’s in the background.
