Locations > Dursey Island & Headland

Dursey Point is the most south-western point of Ireland.

It is a beautiful and unspoilt rural area with traditional farms, ruins of abandoned cottages, and small fields with ancient stone walls that have been painstakingly carved out of the land.

Most famous for its cable car, which straddles a treacherous channel between the headland and the island, it is the only one of its kind in western Europe and would be great for action sequences. A delightful yet dramatic part of the country, it is also ideal for rural or historical scenes.
