Eyeries, Beara Penninsula

Eyeries is an almost impossibly pretty village on the North side of the Beara Peninsula. Traditional multi-coloured houses festoon the entire village, with quaint little pubs, shops & a simple Church completing the idyllic picture. The locals work hard to keep it looking its best, and it shows. You could set a period rural drama here perfectly, as there are no intrusive modern buildings and it is quiet, being set away from the main road. Set in a sheltered spot, it also offers fantastic views from the nearby shore of the Kerry Mountains and the other way of the Caha Mountains which form the spine of the Beara Peninsula. A must visit place for film makers looking for idyllic rural Ireland.
