Locations > Fitzgerald Park
Near UCC & the leafy old residences of Sunday’s Well, this is a beautiful & romantic old park running along probably the prettiest stretch of the River Lee in the City. Once inside & ambling along the river, you forget you’re in the City, such is the tranquillity of the lazy river banked by mature trees. At one end is the ‘Shaky Bridge’, a delightful Victorian Cast Iron footbridge leading across to the old mansions of Sunday’s Well. With the swans and rowing boats floating by, this reminds one of Cambridge or the Thames. A great spot for filming romantic walks or peaceful, reflective scenes.
