Young Irish Film Makers Scriptwriting Competition

CALLING ALL YOUNG SCRIPTWRITERS!

Are you the new Charlie Kaufman? Do you know your sluglines from your loglines?

Well, the Young Irish Film Makers want to hear from you. They are currently running a Scriptwriting Competition for anyone aged between 16 – 24 years old.

They are looking for scripts of no more than 10 pages, with 3 main characters set in Provincial Ireland. Sorry, all you Michael Bay enthusiasts but you can’t make a Transformers clone.

The winning scripts will be produced for a family audience, so please avoid excessive violence, nudity or drug references.

4 winners will receive €100 and have their film made in the National Youth Film School this summer.

The 4 winners will also get the opportunity to attend scriptwriting workshop sessions with a professional screenwriter, who will help them craft their script into shape for the big screen.

Deadline is 14th June, 2017.
